Für mein AMD, habe ich über Praktika in Deutschland gelesen. I was inspired to check out potential internship opportunities after learning career vocabulary in recent chapters.
Erste, habe ich über Deutscher Akademischer Ausstausch Dienst German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) gelesen. This organization has a study and internship program (SIP). Students accepted to this program can spend up to a year at a leading German university studying or interning in the realm of science and research.
Ich habe auch gelesen about the AmCham BridgehouseLaw Internship Program. This program is for students who want to pursue careers in diplomacy. There is a strong focus on immersing students in German culture for this particular program.
The German Department at UC Berkeley has a great list of companies and organizations that offer internships in Germany. Opportunities that sounded particularly interesting were with Deutsche Bank, and the Memorial Internship Program in with German State Parliaments. Here's a link to the list:

Kultur 10- Hannah Loveless
Hallo!
I really enjoyed reading "Booze Brothers". That Feiertag sounds sehr wahnsinnig. Personally, I wouldn't want my own Vater to partake in those festivities. To me, Father's Day is all about relaxing and enjoying time with your family. I would not want to be scared of running into a huge group of drunken men at any moment. Although, assuming I was safe indoors, watching the madness could be sehr lustig!
I would definitely starve/ not be a functional member of society based on the information I found in "Sorry, We're Closed". I do all my grocery shopping Sontags. If I need to pick up something from CVS, I probably won't be able to get around to it until after 5. I understand the reasoning behind having stores close early, but I think that is adversely affecting Germany's economy. They could be doing even better off if they extended there hours by even a little.
I think Germany's obsessions with "Dinner For One" is a bit weird. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a funny premise, but I'm sure there must be better German movies out there. My opinion would probably be different were I to actually watch the whole movie though. Based on the first few minutes it seemed fine, nicht sehr toll.

AMD 4- Hannah Loveless
Hallo!
Fur mein AMD4, Ich entschiednen haben to research Reality Tv shows in Deutschland. Im Allgemeinen, German reality tv shows tend to be spin-offs of popular American shows, like America's Next Top Model or Big Brother. Aber, one show that Ich have gefunden sehr interessant is title Bauer sucht Frau.
This show is also apparently a spin-off from an American show, titled Farmer Wants a Wife. The premise is pretty self-explanatory, and while it never really caught on in America, die Deutschen lieben es. I watched a few clips from various episodes and I admit, it's actually sehr gut!
Basically, a bauer (farmer) signs up to be on a show, and various women sign up as well. Each show has tracks various "couples" as they test out whether or not they would want to spend their lives together. This is not like your typical Bachelor. Menschen sind nicht sehr schlank, groß oder hübsch. Aber si sind sehr sympathisch. One farmer has his pig choose which woman to come visit him and another picks up his potential Frau with a tractor. Wenn Sie für Drama suchen, then this show is not for you. Aber, if you are looking for a cute love story, then you should definitely check out this show!

Hallo!
Ich habe Angst to apply for a job in Germany. All the paperwork that goes into the hiring process sounds stressful! Ich mag, dass wir nur a resume and a cover letter in America. Although I understand why it would be useful to provide information about your academic and professional career that dates back to your early school years, I dense niche, dass any future employer of mine would care whether or not I was in accelerated Algebra in 7th grade or babysat during the summer before my freshman year of high school. Ich liebe Bäume and would hate to waste paper on all those documents!
Ich denke dass the neighbor rules are a good idea, to some extend. Zum beispiel, I like the certain quiet hours. In fact, Ich mochte for my upstairs neighbor to stop blasting his music after a certain time of night. However, Ich dense das, the notion of being quite for all of Sontag seems a bit extreme. Many people get a lot of their yard work done on the weekend and it must be difficult to do that with all the noise restraints.
Ich denke it's sad that Germans haven Angst to don their flag. Their overall lack of patriotism is a result of WWII. However, Germany has made many efforts to make amends and I hope that someday soon they will be able to find a compromise with acknowledging their past and being proud of modern Germany.

AMD 1 -Hannah Loveless
Hello! For my AMD Ich habe gelesen about the German Film Awards (Deutsche Filmpreis). Es heißt auch Bundesfilmpreis oder the Lola Award. Deutschland mag these awards because they promote the film industry im Land. The ceremony wird normalerweise in Berlin.
Es gibt einundzwanzig awards for the show. Im Jahr 2013, there were many interessant films. Ich habe the trailers of some of the films gesehen.
"Oh Boy"
Dieser Film seems schrulligen (quirky) und lustig. I mochte to watch more of this movie next Wochenende. Tom Schilling is in it too, which is schön.
"Schlussmacher"
Dieser Film seems sehr interessant, aber ungerade. Die Akteure sind sehr lustig!
"Lore"
This film seems intense and a bit sad. Ich liebe die Musik, die im Trailer gespielt. I think this film was definitely one of the better ones during the 2013 awards.
After researching the German Film Awards, I am definitely inspired to watch more German films. Ich dense its cool how each country goes about producing movies in different types of ways.
